Ahiagbah On Ejisu By-election And Possible Impact On Dr Bawumia's Electoral Fortunes

As the people of Ejisu throng their various polling centres to cast their vote for their preferred candidate, Rciahard Ahiagbah, the director of Communications for the ruling New Patriotic Party has stated that a victory for the NPP in will herald Bawumia’s victory come December 7, 2024.

Taking to his X platform, Richard Ahiagbah expressed his unflinching optimism of a victory for the NPP thereby breaking the eight successfully.

According to him, the ability of the Lawyer Kwabena to win the Ejisu seat for the NPP is a clear signal that Ghanaians have endorsed the NPP’s victory in the upcoming general elections.

He wrote, “Ejisu will turn out in large numbers to vote for Kwabena Boateng, who is #2 on the ballot. Our victory [today] will herald the coming of Bawumia’s one-touch victory on December 7th, 2024. The NDC can’t do much to stop the inevitable victory of the NPP. It’s coming.”

The electoral commission have scheduled the by-election for April, 30 2024 for which over 100,000 elegible voters are expected to exercise their civil responsibility of selecting one of their own to represent them in Ghana’s parliament.

This became necessary following the demise of the substantive MP, the late John Kumah who passed on to eternity on March 7 after a short ailment.

The Ejisu by election is being keenly contested with an independent candidate who was once an MP for Ejisu and a former Member of the New Patriotic Party.

Below are the six candidates contesting for the Ejisu parliamentary seat.

They are; a former Member of Parliament for the constituency, who is now contesting as an independent candidate, Kwabena Owusu Aduomi, Liberal Party of Ghana’s Beatrice Boakye, New Patriotic Party’s Kwabena Boateng, Convention People’s Party’s Esther Osei, Freduah Agyemang Joseph and Attakorah Joseph who are both independent candidates.
